Laser Hair Removal - How it Works

A laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted by the LightSheer diode laser is well absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles (fig 1). Prior to the procedure, the treatment area is shaved (fig. 2). During the procedure the upper layer of the skin is compressed and cooled with the special cooling hand piece (fig.3). This feature protects the skin and makes the procedure more effective. Then the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to heat up the hair and disable the follicle’s ability to re-grow (fig. 4).

The result: Hair reduction in the treated area that lasts!

I am so pleased with the results of my laser hair removal, it has really changed my life.
